Dear Friends:
Once again we arrive at the end of the year when our desire and intention is to greet you and congratulate you in a personal way. Unfortunately, it is materially and humanly impossible for us to do it individually with a postal card or at least a note, as you deserve, for your efforts and solidarity.
I have no alternative but to use this means of impersonal communication. However, it allows me to reach every one of you to express my best wishes for a Holiday Season full of joy and satisfaction and to tell you how grateful we are for another year of efforts of solidarity in the struggle for our liberation.
The year 2006 has been of unquestionable drive in the political struggle and solidarity for the liberation of The Five, with the zenith being the events from September 12 to October 6. Fresh in our minds are the news and pictures of the march that took place in the United States capital to demand our freedom and the extradition of the protégé terrorist of the U.S. government, Luis Posada Carriles.
We remember with gratitude and admiration the numerous activities, demonstrations and events organized through Europe, Latin America, Canada, Asia, Australia and Africa, and news about the creation and functioning of new committees to work for our freedom.
The intensity acquired in those days of campaigning for our freedom was felt everywhere and in all levels. From our cells, through correspondence and the news we were receiving, we were imbued with that fighting spirit and solidarity shown by all of you, at the same time that we were filled with gratitude and commitment to the struggle.
As these festive days arrive and welcome the New Year 2007, I wish all of you lots of joy and happiness.
May this be a year that begins right away as another year of victories in our struggle and of success in all the projects that each one of you undertakes.

Queridos Amigos y Amigas:
Nuevamente arribamos a la etapa del año, en que nuestra deseo e intención de saludarles y
felicitarles a cada uno/a de ustedes de forma personal, entra en contradicción con la imposibilidad material y humana de hacerlo individualmente, con una postal, una carta, o siquiera una nota, como ustedes se merecen por su esfuerzo y solidaridad.
No queda otra alternativa que usar esta vía más impersonal; pero que me permite llegar a cada uno de ustedes para expresarles mis deseos de que tengan una temporada festiva llena de alegría y satisfacción y también agradecereles por otro año de esfuerzos solidarios para avanzar la causa de nuestra liberación.
Ha sido el 2006 otro año de impulso indiscutible en la lucha política y solidaria por la liberación de Los Cinco, con su punto más destacado en las jornadas vividas entre septiembre 12 y octubre 6.
Frescas en nuestras memorias se encuentran las noticias y fotos sobre la marcha realizada en la capital norteamericana para demandar nuestra libertad y la extradición del terrorista protegido por el gobierno norteamericano, Luis Posada Carriles.
También recordamos con gratitud y admiración, las numerosas actividades, demostraciones y eventos organizados a través de Europa, América Latina, Canadá, Asia, Australia y Africa, y las noticias sobre la creación y funcionamiento de nuevos comités para trabajar por nuestra libertad.
La intensidad que adquirió por esos días la campaña por la liberación de Los Cinco se hizo sentir en todas partes y a todos los niveles. Desde nuestras celdas a través de la correspondencia y las noticias que nos llegaban nos imbuíamos de esa combatividad y ese espíritu solidario demostrado por ustedes a la vez que nos sentimos llenos de gratitud y compromiso en la lucha.
Al arribar a estos días de festividades y al recibir el año 2007, les deseo a todos ustedes mucha felicidad y alegría.
Que sea el año que pronto comienza otro más de Victorias en nuestras luchas y de culminación exitosa de todos los proyectos que cada uno de ustedes se proponga.
